18th / 4th DS

First and foremost I wish I could be better at html coding... either way I got a HUGE surprise in the mail today. This card from Germany was packed full of stamps! 0_0 (I was wondering why it was so squishy) Just wow! Many photos to follow XD

And here's the back of the card

Front of the envelope, so I think it total it comes to about 37 stamps? (I counted but forgot the number...)

The other stamps I received with the card:

Blogger mocks my pain...but the amount is certainly formidable! Now how do I match this |D

I'm envious of these poppies right now, all I see right now is snow!

Received: 29.10.2012

I'm starting to see why the Netherlands has a postcrossing stamp now lol

My first card from 日本 (Japan)! It seems my little dolphin friend has some battle scars...

Received: 29.10.2012

And such nice stamps too, it's been so long since I've seen stamps from Japan TAT

"She walks in beauty like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies And all that's best of dark and bright Meets in her aspect and her eyes; Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which Heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more one ray the less"

A nice looking card from China, I don't think the above text is a translation to what is written on the card. Who knows, my Chinese isn't really good after all =p

Received: 26.10.2012

I wonder what the large red character says.

So many wonderful places at Finland's capital! I wonder how well I would do during a Finnish winter |D

Received: 24.10.2012

Despite the weather, it looks rather chilly. I have winter on the brain too much lately.

The second surprise of the day, a nicely made card from Holland! Note that is not the camera being out of focus ;)

Received: 19.10.2012

And the ever so coveted postcrossing stamp! That's so cool! =0 Ah Canada Post, come out with one! XD

So many surprises lately! Here is a giant Freight-ship from Hamburg, Germany. Hamburg's port is the largest in Germany and the 15th largest in the world I believe.

Received: 19.10.2012

Another sweet stamp from good old Germany! Now to google where this place on the stamp is |D

1st DS

Bald Eagle, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada
Although endangered in much of North America, the bald eagle thrives on Vancouver Island. Here eagles coexist with man and it is not uncommon to see eagles nesting in close proximity to houses near their coastal feeding grounds.

My first direct swap with a friend of mine, I convinced her to try postcrossing out but she wanted to send a card to me first. Thus, a very awesome eagle came to me in the mail!

Received: 04.10.2012

I guess this is a domestic Canadian stamp since I never saw it before.

11th / 2nd DS (direct swap)?

I found this little surprise in the mail this evening, a cute little card from Belarus! There's also an address on the back and request for a reply, my second direct swap? (I've been too lazy to post up the first one...should get around to that soon...ja.)

Received: 17.10.2012

My favourite stamp so far since I started postcrossing! (I really like these types of designs for some reason.)

Belonging to the Juan Fernandez archipelago, this island owes its name to the Scottish seamen Alexander Selkirk, who was abandoned on it. He was finally rescued and returned to his country after spending four years and four months on this lonely residence (friday was actually left behind). Daniel Defoe was inspired by these events to write his famous novel "Robinson Crusoe". The island contains species of flora and fauna unique throughout the whole world.

Check out beautiful Chile! =0 Looks like I gotta visit here if me and my friend go to Chile!

Received: 16.10.2012

And the two awesome stamps I got, naturally one of them is about football! ;D

A nice nesting doll from Singapore, isn't that rather unexpected? XD

Received: 16.10.2012

And a beautiful panda stamp came with it!

A cool card from Australia, of the bit of landscape that can be seen it certainly looks like the outback.

Received: 12.10.2012

This is the first time I have ever received a Maxi card, quite interesting little things really.

"His flower told him, that it is the only one of its kind in the entire world. And behold! There were five thousand of them, all the same, in one garden!"

A cute little card from Germany! I wonder if "The little Prince" is a fairytale...hmm

Received: 10.10.2012

I'm glad this one is easier to make out then the other one, and how wrong I was about it being in Cologne.  Cathedrals, why must you all look the same at a glance? Why?

This card reminded me of that German fairytale, except this looks so Dutch!

Received: 04.10.2012

Reminding us to work towards a greener Earth.
