High Level, AB

When sending in for this cancel, I couldn't decide where I wanted to send so I just picked a place as high north as possible and went with High Level. Unfortunately for me that meant no cancel but hey, at least I got my card back :)

Received: 20.03.2015

I don't think I received a drawing of a square before, interesting interpretation to say the least

Peanut butter on bread, some people love it, some hate it, some are allergic to it. I'm in the hate group, this would taste a bit better with some strawberry jam. Not the card mind you, don't eat postcards. They don't taste good :)

Kimmo Pälikkö Lighthouse

This is a lovely painting of a lighthouse, seldomly do I get them and it's always a treat to receive them.

Received: 20.03.2015

Some used stamps on the side, and the matching lighthouse stamp is a nice touch

Hi Krtek :) This is a silly looking card, I can't help but think that elephant got high on something... XD

A New Years postcard from the USSR

125th DS

Anonymous, Portrait of Annie Eliot, (1890s)
13.2 x 9.5 cm - albrunine print
Under her artist name, Lovely Esau, Annie became famous touring as an attraction with Bornum & Barley in the United States and Europe
Her cavalery officer's mustache and soldiers beard, combined with a gentle voice, sweet skin and a fine, fully, female body, attracted the crowds for over a decade, and made her fortune

A direct swap from someone I had sent to on the forums, and yes this is indeed the (or a?) famous bearded lady. I'm sure lots of dudes are jealous of the beard this lady managed to grow (like me... *sobs*)

Seven Deadly Sins Game

Hey Jetoy card, I too want donuts. Anyways this is for a FB game, send a card which represents a deadly sin. This card represents the sin of Gluttony.

As a reminder the other 6 sins are: Sloth, Wrath, Pride, Envy, Lust, and Greed

I didn't know Lindt had postcards, not bad for Easter indeed. Posting this card and eating Lindt chocolate, life is sweet :)

This is also my first card receiving home printed stamps, they weren't nice enough to post. But then again it's good to know how convenient it is to get stamps in Germany.

Western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla) Africa

The gorilla looks like it's smiling a little bit doesn't it? Then again if you're going to have your face put on a postcard, who wouldn't smile? :P

"We are all on a journey; the canoe assists us along the way."

Another official card from Canada, this time it comes from Canada's #1 user, how cool is that? I have a number of cards depicting Indigenous art in my favourites, I'm very happy she was able to send this :) Now if only I could get some of these to send myself! :(

Bath, NB

This fluffy duckling has gone on a journey, from Amsterdam to my home town and then to Bath, New Brunswick and of course back again. This has been one busy duck!

Received: 16.03.2015

Really CP? You had to pen cancel a 2 cent stamp, really?!

A 10 hour flight, with 2 stops and this doesn't even include the transport to get to Bath? Driving almost doesn't seem like a bad option...

That heart stamp is really rad!

An interesting card, not sure of the location unfortunately. Also my first card to not have anything written, disappointing.

Well the sender was nice enough to include some stamps at least

GRC 11

Ah hello Mr.Clark! Cool to receive one of the Superman cards as opposed to always sending them. The sender had sent a card to Romania with 1168 members.

More cards from "taking out the trash x4", this time we have cards that aren't culture specific, which is always a good thing.

Ruddy Shelduck (Tadorna Ferruginea): Also called Brahminy Duck and various other Indian names such as Chakravaka, Chakwa, Panda Hans etc. is a common winter visitor to India. The bird is found in large wetlands, rivers with mudflats and shingle banks.
Legend has it, that when Lord Rama was wandering the earth looking for his missing consort Sita, he had asked the forests for her whereabouts and they had sighed, sharing his bereavement. Then he asked the stars, who dimmed their beams. But when he asked the Chakwa birds, they showed no sorrow, happy as they were in their own love, saying that they knew of no Sita. So the grieving Lord Rama cursed them to be divided by the waters every night. Since then, there is no sleep for the poor chakwa bird. The pair had to separate after sundown and was reduced to calling one another piteously all through the night.

My second official card from India, loving the duck and I realize that this is a card issued by India Post.

Main Building of Moscow University on Vorobyovy Hills

Bank Bridge, St. Petersburg

I really like this and the next postcard, there usually aren't very many rain motives and it's definitely something different.

Blagoveshchensky Bridge, St. Petersburg

Also lovely variety of stamps too :D
