Another favourite card that it was time to use. On our Postmark hunting trip we visited Crossfield again to try our luck. This time we were able to walk away with something after our failed attempt 2 years ago. The postmark has since expired and though I had intended to send it to myself, there wasn't that much room for a stamp.
Received the same day it was cancelled: 23.05.2017
This photo came out so bad lol Another card from the postcard book by Tushita on antique maps.
Now I can't recall if it's this one or the one below but one of these two is available until the end of August this year and the other until the end of December.
I have been wanting to use this card for the longest time, glad I could do so for this exclusive cancel!
I don't always get envelopes back from my cancel seeking quests, usually when I do I'm greeted by good news but not this time. Inside was my card (not cancelled), the note that accompanied it, and even the envelope! There was also this greeting card, written on it the Postmaster explained that the cancel was taken when the PO was broken into a few years back. That's very unfortunate since it was a nice cancel, and hopefully the damage from the break in wasn't too costly for them.
I found some older Ikea cards from my last thrift store haul (just like the card sent from Jasper.) I found a lot of these square shaped animals, they're so cute and of course fitting for another cow themed cancel!
Wish it was stamped where there was some free space, but oh well.
A pretty mountainous card that I had to use for our trip to Jasper, glad to have gotten this cancel in person!
Unfortunately the cancels didn't come out very clear, here is a better picture. I have to admit the post office is also very nice and historic!
One of my favourite cards out of a stack another postcrosser had sent me blank. Just love those pastel colours; colours that make me think of Easter. It was as close a fitting card for our trip to Vegreville.
This cancel is unlisted and available at the town's only post office. Please write to:
Vegreville Main PO
4930 50th St.
Hans Gedda (f. 1942)
An interesting art piece coming from Sweden, a matching theme with a matching stamp. Wonderful! The person on the card is author/artist Jonas Gardell; him and his husband Mark Levengood are famous gay icons in Sweden, is what the sender wrote.
Another wonderful card to add to my collection! The town of Wuppertal is located in North Rhine-Westphalia and is east of Düsseldorf. It's considered one of the greenest cities in Germany since the majority of the town is made of green spaces.
Bonus stamps :D
The automatic cancellation seems to be having issues, well it's doing its job at least :P

From left to right: Barn owl, Long eared owl, Snowy owl
Little owl, Tawny owl, Short eared owl
Look at all those owls! These cards were sent from the UK from someone I had tagged or had tagged me. That was very nice of them to have sent all of this!
Stamps attached to the owl card to decorate it
An interesting card with the logo hidden in the picture. Can you find it?
Another cool card from Cows that had to be sent away for a cow related cancel. It's funny there are a lot of cow themed cancels.
Yet another expired cancel
I've had this shiny holographic card for awhile but wasn't sure where to send it to. I decided since we were going through Rocky Mountain House on our trip to Jasper, let's check for a cancel there. Sure enough it was still valid and I finally got to use this beauty!
2 days from Rocky via Post, it looks like

Another cool card made by my friend in Japan. This card shows the giant easter egg in Vegreville, AB. We went on a trip there recently but more on that in another post.
This cancel, this wonderful wonderful cancel of Oscar-sama (yes I'm a fan of her lol) This cancel shows Oscar, one of the main protagonists of the "Rose of Versailles" a famous shoujo manga by Riyoko Ikeda. The manga was first published in 1972 and an anime soon followed. The manga was never officially released in English until 2016.
Another card from my friend, this time of Princess Sapphire from the "Princess Knight" by Osamu Tezuka. The Oscar cancel would have been more fitting in this case (as both characters are females that are raised as males and masters of the sword) but that's alright!
This cancel shows the other protagonist from the "Rose of Versailles," Marie Antoinette.
When was the last time I received a tourist card from Paris? Actually I don't think I ever have; a nice surprise to say the least!
